AustroCham

Austrians have been based in Southern China for over 250 years, establishing scientific and trade affairs. Although Austrians’ nature of visits to Hong Kong has changed over the years, trade between the two have continued to steadily increase. Over thirty years ago the Austrian community first founded their own organisation in Hong Kong.

The Vienna Opera Ball 2008 is organised by The Austrian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (Austrocham). AustroCham was founded in 2003. In 2005, the organisation merged with the Hong Kong Austrian Association, which had been established in 1990. AustroCham serves as a platform for the community in Hong Kong, with events to facilitate and foster friendship, understanding, communication and commerce between Austria and Hong Kong.
